Justin D. Caplin

Attorney

Justin has focused on divorce, child custody, juvenile court, and protective order cases since he was in law school, clerking at Moody Brown Law, Utah County’s top divorce and family law firm. He continued working at Moody Brown until he and his wife decided it was time to return home to St. George in 2017.

Justin now exclusively handles Child Custody and Abuse-related cases, focusing on cases involving minor children, including co-parenting disputes, child abuse, false allegations of abuse, grandparent involvement, protective orders, DCFS involvement, etc. Justin has represented clients in hundreds of court appearances and mediations, defending what is most important to them: their relationship with their children. Justin will always give his honest assessment and advice, not merely tell you what you want to hear.

Melanie Campbell

Paralegal

Having my own experience with a very difficult divorce and child custody battle, I understand and highly empathize with others who are going through similar things. My own experience of legal battles pushed me to obtain my Paralegal Certification in 2020 from Dixie State University.

Kicking off 2021 with the ambition to grow and advance my career, I joined the Southern Utah Divorce Law firm to pursue family law and the values it represents. Having a family myself, I understand the true nature and importance of fair representation on behalf of our clients, whether they come to us for divorce or custody matters. It is an absolute pleasure coming to work every day knowing that I can make a positive impact on our client’s lives and future.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children, being outdoors, working out, and baking. I have a goal to continue to pursue my legal skills and education and I can’t wait to see where that road takes me and how it helps the amazing families in our community.
